Renovated stone house in a Corfu village

A typical Corfiot village house with thick limestone walls, a tired roof and decades of cement patches. We opened the walls back to the stone, repaired the lintels and the corners, rebuilt the roof with insulation under the original style of tiles, and replastered inside and out with lime. New electrics, plumbing, bathrooms and a kitchen went in behind the old facade, which kept its green shutters and the arched doorway.
